DESIGN

Graphic design can uplift your message and highlight key policy points. Great design can influence decision-making and influence choice with images that resonate. This is an opportunity to turn your ideas into images and communicate complex messages quickly and effectively. Think about working to match your design elements with the overall visual tone of your story.

  • Are there points or statistics from your policy brief that can be translated graphically?

  • Are there symbols that are important to your story? Make a digital version of them.

  • Are there artists in your community? Ask them to contribute to the project.

  • Move data into storytelling realm

  • Make statistics relatable - what do they look like? The story is more relatable than numbers

  • What visual narratives are important to your story? How have artists depicted them?

  • Create text slides using iMovie (link) create simple designs using Canva (link)

  • Each digital story should include a title slide (download here - coming soon!)
